March 8th is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women, calling action for action for accelerating gender parity.
To celebrate this, the Chief Constable Debbie Simpson is speaking at Bournemouth University on International Women’s Day about her experiences of rising to the top as one of the few female chief constables in the country.
The talk will include discussions regarding:
- Her experiences of rising to the top (opportunities/challenges)
- Interest in helping to develop future leaders within the Police Force
- Work as the National Lead for Forensic Pathology and Disaster Victim Identification
- Senior Women in policing role
